As well as designing websites I am also looking to take on  part-time work from home up to 12 hours a week creating web pages and web graphics.

• Experienced in HTML (4.2), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Portable Document Format (PDF).
• Experienced in Macromedia Dreamweaver and Fireworks.
• Some skills in Macromedia Flash to create basic animations.
• Skilled in using Adobe Acrobat to create PDFs
• Skilled in Adobe Photoshop to create web graphics (one year and 2 day training course).
• Actinic software experience (one year)
• Web usability skills (the creation of user-friendly websites using information mapping techniques)
• Accessibility skills (creation of web pages that are accessible to disabled users and comply with W3C guidelines)
• Basic Perl scripting skills (one year’s experience)
• Basic Javascript skills (one year’s experience)
• Knowledge of web technologies: DHTML, XML, ASP etc.
• Some design skills.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel; basic skills in Access.
• Previous experience in creating databases (Using Superbase, some Access skills)
• Worked with consultants on the development of  British Library e-commerce sites.
• Web Developer, Web Services Unit, The British Library
• Part of team of eight responsible for the development and management of the British Library’s website (www.bl.uk) and associated sites.
• Worked for the British Library since 1983. Have been creating web pages for the Library’s website for six years and a member of the web team for one year.
